Dear Melissa Anderson,
This letter was written regarding the Information Technology Summer Internship, which was found using the job search tool on the Duke Energy website.
In regards to this job posting, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself as an undergraduate student, who is pursuing a B.S. degree in CS at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Academia has strengthened my interpersonal skills in two ways: making communication with others straightforward and allowing me to exhibit my leadership skills in an articulate manner. For instance, since I’m extroverted it is easier for me to make communication and collaborate with others in an unfamiliar environment. Throughout my college experience I’ve gained sufficient experience in working with others, several programming languages (C++, Java, Ruby), as well as exposure to databases and frameworks. With this being said, I assert that I’m able to learn quickly, and understand agile methodologies like SCRUM, which would make me a valuable prospect for Duke Energy’s program.
It is my conviction that my expertise is relevant for Duke Energy because of my qualifications mentioned above. It would be my honor to have the opportunity to meet with you to discuss further about my qualifications. Thank you for your consideration, and I have attached a copy of my resume for your review.
Sincerely,
Hiral Merchant
